Over sized front sight base

I am not sure if it is a mistake but I noticed that the pre-order was still showing just 10 orders for the front sight base so I ordered 3 more. I got a shipping notice with tracking so HOPEFULLY, they got enough orders and are sending these out now. Not sure what I will do with 6 front sight bases but you never know!!
 
Well.....I knew it was too good to be true. I had two orders for the over sized front sight bases. One order shipped and one didnt. I got one of them today and of course.......drum roll.....They are the standard sized ones. I am not even going to fight it, I just put them in the parts box. Hopefully the other order of oversized ones ship soon. The whole idea of putting in another order was to push the number over the amount they listed to get them in production. Oh well.
 
I wanted to give an update on this. Since it has been awhile, I kept checking Frontline to see if they started production on these larger front sights yet, they hadnt. They were 3 short of their minimun 20 needed. I ordered 3 more making it a total of 6 for me just to get production rolling. I need 2 to complete some projects that I have. I figured having a few extra around for future projects or if someone else needed some was a good idea. So it is good news that these have entered into production finally!!
 
Anyone that is waiting on their Oversized front sight base, I got word that the bundle of them that I ordered have been shipped.
 
I also received notice that the larger size sight base shipped. I did not receive any tracking info. as of now. Hopefully it will clear ok and receive it in a week or two.
 
Sorry for the additional post but it just occurred to me... i wonder if it will come with a roll pin to secure it? If not, does anyone have a source for a historically accurate one? Are the originals roll pins or solid? Were they phosphate/blued or just raw metal? Thanks.

It will not have the pin. Some sizing does vary so you will have to try a few different ones.
 
I got my shipment of oversized late war front sight bases from Frontline today. They did an excellent job and they fit really well.
