OK, crimping what? Wire? Is that some telephone linesman's tool? Are those runes?
here some of the fabric that clogged the inner ( hollow, 5mm.diam.) channel of the tool; this fabric burns quite well_ the front hole, with the crimping claw, has 7mm.diameter, open_ 4,5mm closed_ square rear hole 8,50 mm.large_ weight of the tool 620 grams_ in my unlimited imagination, the crimping action could be extended even to blasting charges: I don't know_ for sure, fakes or not, the two consecutives, angled "S" aren't for "Super Sport"_ if better pictures or other measurements are needed, I can try_ any info will be welcomed_

Mario,

I think these "collet" crimping pliers have continued to be manufactured post war and look for all practical purposes, exactly as the ones in the Pionier Demolition kit:

Here is a retailer selling these which are basically the same item:

A while back, one sold by BUNKERMILITARIA website purported to be original wartime. I can see some numerals in the same location as the one you pictured:

I suspect the SS engraving is not legit. You may want to check with the guys on this website. They seem to have a good knowledge of these and whether they are period originals or post war manufactured/passed off as originals:

I've owned lots of engineer gear and this is indeed a fuse crimper. I believe the pair pictured are postwar due to the marking. All of mine have been maker marked with a date and WaA in black finish. The latest date I've seen on a crimper is 42.

The thing about collecting WW2 German equipment, tools, and field gear is that some of it continued to be manufactured postwar as late as into the 1960s and beyond. My philosphy is, if it doesn't have a waffenamt (WaA) inspection mark on it, it's most likely postwar production. Even if it does have a WaA inspection mark on it, or some other marks like SS runes, it could be faked. Gotta be careful.

1) the strangest thing is that I have payed my finely counterfeited cr.tool LESS than the actual retail price, notwithstanding the added costs of ochre/yellow paint + SS markings : a real bonus !
2) jhv, have you an idea of the side effects coming from showing the demo.uk.site to someone usernamed wilecoyote ?
again, sincerly, THANKS !

...no waa on mine: for sure the rarest of all...

Gummipuppe,
your philosophy really should be THE golden rule of collecting 3R items_
your "Gotta be careful" has even more sense about someone handling a fuze crimping tool, of course...
thank again_mario
