This one has a "E" on the BP where you would usually see a letter AND a number for the depot that did the work. It also has a 200m rear sight and the barrel firing proof looks like Erfurt based on examples in the reference section. My questions are 1. Is "E" a depot or something else?
2. Is the barrel an ordnance spare or one they took off of an earlier rifle? And was recycling RS bases common?
Stock looks sanded to me. The only non-factory parts appear to be the firing pin and front sight blade (and barrel of course).
