replacing rear sight base.

both are soldered in place, but located by a screw, which sits on a shallow drill mark on the barrel. to see the front screw, one must first remove the sight blade from its’ dovetail, the rear screw you can see at the rear of the base. ditto what others said about discoloration & localized (over) heating. if a shooter, I might try it, for a ‘good’ rifle, probly send it to someone w/experience. a heat gun (not hair drier) will do it, but technique is important.
