Romanian VZ.24

I had an empty space in my Axis rifle rack, so I decided to fill it with a Romanian VZ.24. This rifle dates to a batch shipped in June 1940 and has an "SR" prefix to the serial number. The top of the receiver has been scrubbed so there is no date or crest (although it would likely have been a King Carol.) The barrel, receiver, and stock all match but the bolt if from a different Romanian gun (CR 820). Overall it's in pretty good shape with the typical dings and scratches you would expect on a 80-yr old rifle and I love the wood tone.

Nice rifle man! I’ve been on the lookout for a German capture one for a while.

Oh, fyi, I just posted a VZ-24 bayonet on the trader. If you needed/wanted a salty one!

@ArmyMP595 - Wow…that’s awesome! My wife’s family is Polish and I’m sure I could get away with one (if it ever appeared). The Polish eagle would do it!!

There are very few out there. The 1936 models are so scarce & I've only seen 1 other that was sold in the last few years. Apparently, it was an estate sale and I guess the family of the deceased didn't know the true worth of mine. It was like winning the lottery. lol
