Another prewar bayonet. F.W. Höller,1934. This have been in my collection for several years. Wonder what the production figures was for this company in 1934. Anybody knows?

Best Regards
Arvid

Looks like a nice early bayonet, i have reported production estimated on serial numbers to about 25000 samples.

Thanks for that Andy! I'm researching my S/174K and S/175K S84/98's I noticed both were also low S/N's (5404a & 1795a respectively). As the Nasty party ((NSDAP) didn't officially
take over until August of 1934 they could not have produced very many bayonets in that year that had the new S/codes or the Reich's drop wing waffenamt. So my question is, does your 25,000 estimate apply to all of the major manufacturers in '34 and is there a record of how many there were for that year? I would think that an output of only 25,000 would make the S/xxxK's a rare if not at least, a scarce bayonet.

Certainly some producers never produced any S84/98 in 1934, some have large numbers of production like Hoerster to sample. I dont believe that this hangs with NS party as 3R was since 30.january 1933. S/175K - Holler 1934 is estimated to 25000 samples, but there are some missreports to 1935 and 1936 production, so exact numbers is hard to destine by some makers mainly in the early production period.
