S/42 1936 L Block

"Ach du lieber!"
Got this one recently as well and thought I'd post it. Matching except for the rear TG screw. A late 36 with transitional stock proofing. Never had a toe repair and never cut for a hood.

meh....Only one war eagle and no door buster buttplate....Real Notzis would never use a rifle like this....All kidding aside, great find!

That is a gorgeous rifle...if it were mine you couldn't pry it out of my hands!

S/42 1936

Beautiful example of a early Kar 98k, looks as righteous as they come.
Tks for posting and pictures.
Tks,

Interesting to note that I have a T block rifle with all Weimar proofs and I know of another T block that is the same.

Hilarious! Superb example of an early rifle. Amazing that these survived without repair, rework or post-war nonsense. Gotta be a pic stickie!

One of the reasons I love transitional pieces and think this should be a stickie. Nearly all Weimar proofs (rear sight and bottom metal appear 100%) yet Nazi eagles start to appear. Neat that the bands are split.

Thanks guys. These early ones really remind you the quality that went into these....MO really made some beautiful stuff. Now if only I could morph them into a steyr :biggrin1:
