These are really unique rifles that are hard to find "truth" on. There were so many scrubbed SCW rifles out there, finding one like this one is pretty rare. Mine looks just like it, all matching but is a 1930 K29 as opposed to wz29 and no WaA, but previous discussion suggests it is German used, but hard to prove. I'd love to learn more.QUOTE]
From what I have observed over the last four decades, unaltered, original Polish issue rifles are scarcer than German reissues. Polish rifles taken by the Germans may exhibit many degrees of modification...from virtually nothing to a thorough going over. The rifle pictured in the link is of the latter type. Most commonly, the magazine follower is modified to act as a bolt-stop and the bolt may be blued (from the original "in-white" finish). Possibly a refurbishment stamp (something like "HzaJt20"), might be stamped behind the rear of the trigger guard or pistol grip. Polish rifles were sent to Spain (and ultimately emanated from there) as reparations from some sort of economic agreement which Poland defaulted on, c.a. 1937. Don't know if the rifles were subsequently scrubbed in Spain, but most seem to have had this done upon refurbishment. In addition, the Kriegsmarine received a number of both Polish rifles & bayonets c.a. 1940/41.
