Dear members,

I can now give the partial result of my search.
I’ve found a small mirror for trench observation.
This device has been created to prevent soldiers from head injuries while looking
over the trench wall.

It’s intended to be placed on the bayonet lug.

The maker is a German company created in 1913 and closed in 1918.
On a war period advertising, it’s said that this company was supplier
for the German army.

I need now to find a period photo with this device and/or an advertising
with an illustration of it.

If you can help me, I thank you in advance.

Very cool-- I, for one, have not seen one here in the US. These must have been a very small run; or had an abysmal survival rate.
I'd suspect the former more than the latter if only because even if they were fragile they're still the sort of thing that is incredibly easy to walk home with. Think of all the other weird stuff we see end up as a souvenir. Something like this is perfect for throwing in your bag and taking home to show the girlfriend when you get out. It also has practical application before you get home with it - at the end of the day it's a pocket mirror on a funny mount.

You’re totally right. This mirror has been found in a flea market. It was in a French military haversack with spiked helmets plates and roundels.
This mirror is a private purchase quickly made of thin steel plate. It should date of 1915.
