Saving the best two for last. First is a Kriegsmodell svw 45 'a' block. This one is all matching barreled action that was in all things, an Israeli stock set when I bought it. I swapped for a correct late 135 marked stock (unfortunately sanded a bit), found what I believe are correct bands and stamped spring. The only repro parts are the band retaining screws. Mint bore and finish is better than the pictures make it look.

And lastly, my bnz 43 SSzzA4 marked rifle - possibly a depot rebuild? The bolt has been re-marked to match in the past. Again, was in an Israeli stock - ironic. I have put unmarked bands and spring and the stock is unmarked but is 1942 date stamped on the butt end. No serials on t guard, follower, floorplate, ejector or trigger I believe.

the svw45 is done very well and thats a very hard rifle to find and restore.

the SS bnz is not looking good. the barrel ser # is bad for sure and I assume the rest.. Sorry.

I’d say the bnz43 is looking promisingly real with a fake numbered bolt and replaced stock. Not the best resto job as far as components but sszza4 rifles are worth spending some $ on restoration due to scarcity and value. Just find some matching ones in the pic reference and compare the serial on the barrel, you’ll see the similarities. Here are a few from the same series as yours.

The rifle came from an 80+ year old WW2 Vet I knew who’d bought it years before. He didn’t hump anything as he wasn’t doing stuff like that. It also has an old GERMANY import stamp on top of the barrel. One person told me they figured a depot repair was the reason for the bolt numbering. Yes it’s not original stock that was gone. The serial on the barrel hasn’t been messed with.
