SOS walk in byf 44

An unnumbered byf 44 safety on an i block rifle was either a factory mistake or more likely a replacement. Mauser Oberndorf stopped numbering safeties along with some of the other small parts (bands, floorplates, stocks) somewhere in the k block of byf 44 (in other words, not at the start of the k block, but somewhere during that letter block).

Thanks. I picked this rifle up 6 years ago. The previous owner posted several pictures on gunboards asking for opinions before it was put up for sale. One of the primary questions was whether it was an "L" block versus an "I" block. This was because the dot on the "I" when struck seemed to run into the rest of he letter. I tore it all down when received and everything was stamped and matching where expected except for the safety. However the safety matches with the rest of the bolt. Another mystery lost to time. Thanks again.
