SS Kar98a conversion in bad shape

Hello everyone,

I have the chance to purchase a possible legit (?) SS Kar98a rework.
The markings seem to be ok compared to Vol.1, only the stamps on the buttplate are odd.

Legit, but terrible condition. Some of the buttplate markings are WW1 era depot acceptance, and I feel like I have seen that "G.E." somewhere before...

Thanks for the replies.
I decided to buy it for a reasonable price due to the overall bad condition.
I wonder if I ever get hands on a Kar98a SS conversion in perfect shape.
