Steyr Schonzeitbüchse .22 from 1935

Attached some pictures of the Steyr Schonzeitbüchse, a 1935 dating .22 caliber rifle made by Steyr. This one is a single shot with a 3 digit serial number that had been digitally removed from barrel, receiver and bolt.

The interesting story on this rifle is that it was found in a wardrobe hidden behind a second wall. Obviously the previous owner must had hidden it and it seemed to soon had been forgotten about it. Therefore it is absolutely untouched and never reworked and had survived in rather astonishing condition.

That is an absolutely gorgeous Steyr!!! One of my favorite looking .22’s I’ve ever seen, really blown away by this rifle. The rust blue against that red stock is absolutely killer! Thank you for sharing this one  I’ve always loved commercial Steyr’s especially the zephyr.
