The Saxon Sterngewehr

I thought you might have busted me snorting bore cleaner again...

Here is the Erfurt/1916 - 9779 a; BTW, I do not have this Spandau/1916 9779 z recorded? Maybe you can give some details on this one? Have you datasheeted it yet?

Didn't get that one unfortunately, though I would have liked to. I do happen to have a 1916 Spandau serial number 9779 z.

It's a bit mystifying how I didn't get this rifle recorded properly.. I found it in the BC database but not in Spandau/1916. The Danzig's were recorded too, but this one was overlooked, - or more likely misplaced. Although only in 1916 did Spandau make it to the "z" block and beyond. Neither 1915 nor 1917 did they get anywhere near the "z" block, so no telling where I stashed it away..

Thanks for linking it!

It was one of a few rifles I posted in the same thread, porbably flew under the radar.

Just so you know found another of these with the 1916/17 receivers made by spandau. Has the replaced rear sight and floorplate.

Serial number 461 2 suffix
