Isn't that nice the scumbags added additional size SA stamps as well as Finnish Sky Stamps. Add a $100 in value to a stock.

If you go post the latest generations of fake SA stamps at GB, USMCSean will get mad and say fake SA stamps were already posted years ago (no matter that these are different stamps), no need to keep posting them :googlie He may even give you an infraction, then bring over his other mod buddies to pile infractions on you so you get suspended. Without Tuco there and those clowns running amok I would expect that to be a best case scenario.
 
Now way would they do that. Its not becasue they possibly bought those stamps and are stamping rifles with it and making a nice little profit? :googlie

I'm so glad I've long since purged the 'collecting bug' out of my system.

I just want a nice shooter, but still with some history, and this is why I spent time looking for a nice Norwegian capture K98, as they've got enough interesting traceable history of their own and aren't (yet!!) the subject of being faked having been converted to 30-06 and overstamped.
Mind you, its now not easy finding one of those now, especially here in the UK, and I've been lucky to have recently found a reasonably nice one.

Back when I was collecting militaria in the late 80's and early 90's the amount of fake German uniforms and kit around then was bad enough, but now its a full on open industry because of the value of the collectors market.
 
Sucks for people like me who are trying/just starting to get into collecting. I've seen some recent rifles on Gunbroker that have looked just too perfect.... when I saw them first thing I though to myself was stamps. They were just to clean, deep and perfect for me.

You are right WreckTangle It does suck. It's a big steamin pile of bovine scatology for all of us.
its just so wrong.
But for your start in collecting just hang out here and watch the Trader forum.
Lots of good trustworthy collectors here to help you out. Always willin to share.
And if you find somethin get lots of pics before you buy it, post them here and
People will help you make the decision for legit or not.
Also if you don't have the collector books offered here, get them and
Go through the picture archives here too because lookin at
Lots of Correct items, spending time will help you decern authentic or not.
