Great rifle ! Post 40 production throws it right in the proper period for this award. Wartime trainers are quite scarce. Awarded rifles even more scarce ! I'm assuming a recent pick-up ?

That is one nice rifle.

The event was probably held at the shooting range facility erected with civic cooperation to bring the annual SA shooting championship to Z-M. And the inscription plate is identical to one presented from Waffenfabrik Walther in a 1938 event attributed to Gauleiter Hofer, so you know Waffenfabrik Walther prepared the HJ rifle shown above.
