What on earth is going on with the K98k?

This isn't a live auction, but a dealer sale (in fact a dealer advertising a K98 for sale rather than his stock, supposedly <cough>) so appologies if this breaks rules and needs deleting, but if this is the utter humped turd I suspect it is, then I hope a potential buyer might do due dilligence and find this thread if so, given the price being asked...!!
This is a UK dealer selling this ZF-41 here in UK, but S/42 with 1943 on receiver? on what appears to possibly have been a no letter early '38 JP Sauer receiver from the inspection codes, and possibly Russian capture as well, and then there's the SS stuff.....I'm not even on the first rung of knowledge, but a trawl through Vol, 1, 11a and 11b of the bible's and I'm confused as hell as to what his may or may not have been orginally as I'm sure its not what they are claiming, even with my almost zero knowledge.

I was just going to say, I’ve seen one similar in the last month. I think only the receiver stamp was shown I believe.
 
There's an antique arms fair coming up in UK where this dealer sometimes has a table at, so if he's there it will be interesting to see if he has it with him, probably not if its true he's just listing it for someone, but I suspect that's not entirely true, as this dealer is well know for a bit of 'story telling'.
