Infamous? Haha I hope in a good way! I got tired of playing the excessive bidding game on GB especially since there are so many faked K98s. Figured he had a lot of positive feedback and the rifle really matched the research I did so I figured why not. Buy once cry once right? 😂

That's the odd part, I cannot see any markings on the exterior of the stock. The previous owner could not find any either. I took apart the rifle today and everything matches. The firing pin, barrel bands, receiver, barrel, bolt shroud all have the correct serials and the 214 Waffenamts.

What do you mean by scolloped? Are you talking about the cut on the bayonet lug to lock the actual bayonet in?
