Ar 41

C'mon man, you can't just drop a few teasers like that and not show the full rifle! It does look like a wonderful Luftwaffe ar 41, definitely want to see more of it.

My example, serial number 6132 d Luftwaffe. Basically 1100 units away from your example. Looks very nice and congrats on that inheritance :)

The rifle is in great condition for it’s age!

Very nice rifle! I have an all matching one from the same maker and year that has a little battle damage. That polished blue finish is something else on these!

All of these ar 41s in this thread are so clean, real beauties. Pretty interesting how deep the firing proof is on the receiver, I'm a newb, but that's definitely one of the deepest ones I've seen so far!

Couple more photos, rifle is totally matching
Gorgeous! I noticed in pic 4/4 that the sling is “inside out”, that is, the leather cover on the buckle should be against the wood, which it is meant to protect. As the sling is likely set in that position it may not make sense to try & change it (might break) but you can see that the raw underside of the sling is ‘out’ vs the patterned skin side, as is normal.
Thanks for sharing!!

I was able to remove the sling and put it on correctly without any damage, also it is dated 1939
