butt marker

one of the rifles purchased by the emperor of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie; used, stored & later imported by RTI. The part of that one shown ‘looks nice’, how about the rest of it? Pretty cool medallion, as those things go.

Will that thing spend? Could I get a pull out of a slot machine with it or do a load of clothes at the laundromat?

Was looking a a K98k with this strange butt disk of St George and the dragon with Cyrillic writing under neath any ideas what it means?

Merged your 2 threads started on the same thing, also moving it to post war section.

thanks for the info it helps a lot, the rifle is 1941 marked action so reworded post war for Ethiopia.

I've been trying to translate that text also on my guns. I haven't been able to figure it out yet. I'm in no way a linguist but what I've got so far is (ke,ha,ta,?,?,ze,ju). I should probably stick to my day job.
