Proof of this was once again provided by this S/240 37 (F.Herder Asn), entered yesterday and 10 days after her sister.
This is also the same b-series, but the plum color of the blade is less pronounced.

My recorded numbers may be a bit dated, but this is the highest 5-digit "S-bloc" 41crs I am currently aware of... nice example, too!
 
Yes its a nice piece, is probably the highest reported S range, i had prior this one 12439 S, the LW frog is nice, question is that the complet was so from war, or changed in last 70 years? Possible the S block ended in 15000 range. Unfortunally there are no reported other pieces in that area.

My favorite is this one : it was given to me by a former French resistance fighter from the Ardennes des Manises maquis, in the early '80s.
At the time, I didn't even realize it had funny markings.
May you rest in peace, old timer...

I'd like to present a few items I've received recently. Chance has again spoiled me with, among them, a 1939 Durkopp for the KM and this no less superb Cvl 44 with riveted grip and a 1941 C.Riese rubberised frog.
Its number is close to a previous one...

Nice one addings, mainly the nearly 44cvl riveted, could be from same source. The 42ffc was added into austrian or CS frog.
 
Already asked someone about it, its austrian frog not czechoslovak. Is possible they used even M1895 by RFV in Austria location. This S84/98 has no link to RFV.

Obviously, it was originally mounted on an RFV bayonet. After that, anything's possible...
A friend of mine, a junk dealer, found it while clearing out the house of a former deceased in Belgium.

Hello sir,
Found in Belgium yesterday, here's a very nice 1937 Durköpp in rare condition for these early years of production.
Its frog is Austrian or Czech, modified by the Germans with the addition of a retaining strap.







My favorites are his early bayonets

When there are not any CS marking on backside of the frog, so it should be probably austrian origin. personally i would inspect this for possible reblue or its on the coat of vaseline on surface, but the surface on same places looks like pitted someday?. Anyway a early matching Durkopp is nice.
