Very nice indeed and congratulations! Thanks for sharing the photo too.
Never knew how scarce that bayonet was thank you for the info. Now if only I could find a scabbard for it!What a stunning rifle! Everything about this find is absolutely great! WuK 30 ies are almost non-existing; every single one I know of are from the Artillerieschule (A.S.)
Congrats!!!
Thanks for sharing! What a day!!

This is why it's good to listen when Chris says "buy that shite!" lolNever knew how scarce that bayonet was thank you for the info. Now if only I could find a scabbard for it!
Always happy to be a sounding board on such matters! Lol.Yes I really do appreciate Chris's advice on going after that bayonet when I bought it. It actually sold quite reasonable. Still needs cleaned up a little bit. I just need to soak the blade in basically ballistol oil to remove old surface rust. I don't want to damage the bluing or scratch the blade. Hopefully I'll find a scabbard one day. And thank you Paul for the additional information I do hope I was able to cover the rifle for the research threads.
And Dave thank you for the kind words I still cherish that 98b sold me. Not going anywhere they're both very special pieces in my collection.
Thank you have another one coming that's neat one as well. Their hard to find, and I always try to be on the lookout for them. Very well could be on the injury on that soldier. He might be a former veteran on the Great War.Great pic Jordan. That machine gunner seems to have a left eye that has suffered an injury. Zoomed in and it appears there is a scar across his cheek coming down from the inside corner of his eye. These guys are also wearing spurs, so Kavallerie? I have buttons from the 13th (WWI and WWII), used the WWI button as my avatar for years
