The earliest documents about "German" sniper scopes, I've come across date back to the early 1890s. IIRR in 1892 the Prussian Army ordered 70 scopes (Type: Beaulieu-Marconnay) for field trials. The scopes were mounted on brand new Gew. 88 rifles at the GwF Spandau.
With that order, two other field trials with scoped Gew. 88s were stopped.
I don't know about Wally World but here in the good old USA you will have to do some reloading if you want to shoot it at a reasonable price. Information is available if interested.
