SS SSR finally complete

Thanks to a certain scope guru from this forum, I finally have a scope for the depot built SS SSR that my grandfather mailed home from Germany in 1945.

for those like me who missed the subject on the rifle

SS Depot built SSR SN 9956

I’m new to the forum. I have a K98k that my grandfather pulled off of a dead SS soldier I believe in Belgium. The SN is matching 9956 including the SSR mount, except the bolt 6739. SS stamp is on the barrel and behind the trigger guard on the stock. I’m trying to learn all I can about it. Any...
