    Small caliber butterfly chain.

I just found this little one in a random KY1937 box. Caught my eye in the corner of one of the seller's pics. I couldn't find any markings, but since it's for the small caliber kit, it has to be from G.Appel right? What would be an appropriate box? Unmarked, with the early side seam placement...

    GEU black phenolic oiler

I found another GEU oiler. This time it was part of a lot, so I don't know what kit it was originally from. It did not have a washer anymore, we can see that the threads on the bottom screw are along the whole length of the shaft. If I remember correctly, some other makers stop the thread where...

    fze 40

Not too many of these are posted, so here is my own. Not sharpened, but reblued at some point I guess. I wonder how many of these were made? I've only seen them in the d-block so far.

    My 1st bayonet

What would be a good alternative then? Something for long term storage that doesn't affect wood, bakelite, leather (if possible) or different metals. Bonus points if it's odourless after a while. Preferably also found in Europe.

    Unmarked painted RG34

Great info, thank you. Any speculation as to why there was a run like this? Does it have the regular cnx WaA20 marked content?

    Unmarked painted RG34

Hello, This kit came in this week. It appears to be an unmarked painted RG34. Price was normal. Came with postwar contents (black phenolic oiler and 90° rotated chain). As a read that this could be a rare find, I would love your thoughts on it.

    Behoerden bayonet grouping

I had a look around trying to find Na examples. I found nothing exactly similar, but I'll share for completeness. In the 1938-1941 range I found: - stylized Na: Coppel 1939 - NA: Jos Corts 1939 , Jos Corts 1940 , F.Herder 1940 - Na (different font): R. Herder 1940 , WKC behoerden, WKC...

    Behoerden bayonet grouping

Some surface rust that I cleaned up. One side has the 509, the other side Na. Nothing on the wooden grips.

    Behoerden bayonet grouping

Thank you all for the great insights. My main concern was postwar tinkering. I've never opened up a bayonet before, I'll have a look if I can find fitting tools. Edit: screws loosened easily. Will take pics tomorrow

    Behoerden bayonet grouping

I did a quick comparison with a bayonet that comes close in many ways. I think it's a late war Eickhorn. The big difference is that the left bayonet has a consistent finish throughout (the little scratches), like we see in other bayonets later on. The 509 bayonet however, has a dull smooth...

    Behoerden bayonet grouping

My latest addition, unmarked, no WaA's, not sharpened. Serial number 509 on scabbard, blade and the push button. What are your opinions please? At one point maybe a lot of surface rust that has been cleaned? Therefore the wooden grips as well? Finish on the blade is dull. I can't put my finger...

    HKW identification

I have a question as well related to HKW identification. It stems from trying to figure out what sets of contents should be found in arr kits, based on the WaA (or none) present. I have a few arr 43 kits with different WaA's, having 'wrong' contents. So I'm trying to identify what parts I do...

Pair of late-war AC320 skeleton frogs

Well, the simple truth is that I knew they had a 'name', but had belt frog in my mind. Couldn't remember skeleton frog, so the only thing I had to go on was the designation :D Anyway, on the flip side, when seeing an exotic frog I always to the post by Slash. But searching on the number...

Pair of late-war AC320 skeleton frogs

For your consideration a pair of AC320 frogs. I first saw these types of frogs in the awesome post by Slash, so I wanted to show some to you in detail. I love the look, they are very Frankensteinish.

    arr42 Rg34

I'm went into the rabbit hole called Braunschweigische Blechwarenfabrik and slowly am coming to grips with the available info. My next thing would be to find the correct components in my arr kits, as they would have left the factory. As far as I understand it, it would depend on the WaA present...

    Matching ftd RG34

Does anyone have an idea if there's a possibility that some kits were issued like this? With all parts marked ftd?

    GEU black phenolic oiler

Hello, I found this oiler in a complete arr43 kit. I can't find any info online, just one reference on Antoni's site. At first glance it seems it could fit an arr42 kit as well. - top cap is marked 'eqt' and has the 'S' material code - body has the 'Z2' material code - bottom cap has no...
