Are you more interested in this rifle because of the SPR backstory, or are you more interested in trying to find a non-RC de-act K98k? If you are more interested in finding a non-RC K98k, I do know of a UK dealer that has two de-act K98k currently for sale that do not appear to have RC markings...

90% of K98k's that are currently for sale in UK might be RC's, but there were lots of K98k's sold in UK (both live and de-act) prior to the RC's first arriving in the UK in the late 90's. An old mate of mine, Lee Money of FNG Supplies worked on set of SPR at Hatfield as extra as well as suppling...

Mine is also a double Naval issue, as the stock is M marked, so it was originally a Kriegsmarine issue rifle. I bet there weren't many that were double Naval issue.

Always nice to see other Norwegian Navy Surrender K98k's, I have this one, a 243 1940. Mines a bolt MM though, as well as having a butt plate change as well. everything else is matching.

Sorry, I meant to write 243 1940 g block, with a M stock and unmarked butt disc... but the OP writing 237 added to the fact my other K98k I own is a 237 oft leads to confusion in my old age :giggle:

Interesting. Were there any KM accepted rifle that were diverted to the Heer? I have a 237 1940 g block rifle that is M marked on the stock, but has an unmarked take-down disc. The rifle ended up in Norway at some point, and was a surrender weapon at end of WW2, and went into the Norwegian Navy...

Which one out of the Erma and BLM shoots better? Which ever one groups best in a test fire, that's the one I'd pick, which is after all how they chose rifles at the factory for sniper conversion.

My RC 1936 S/237 has a smoother action than my Norwegian surrender and ex-Norwegian Navy 1940 243 (so still original 7.92x57) and both are bolt M/M.

Most of the post 1970 shipments that came in to NI via Southampton on QE2 etc. were AR-15 and more modern stuff, which was largely to replace all the older WW2 era stuff they had in arms dump from pre-WW2 days, or the WW2 era stuff they had acquired in the 1950's via an Irish-American who's name...
