K98k Bubba gun in 45acp on gunbroker?

Maybe inspired by the silenced Brit Enfield conversions of WW2.

    1941 svt 40

I bought a Russian-refurb with the purple bolt some years ago when they came in. Can't remember the exact price, but it was under $300. Haven't shot it for a long time, but reading about them makes me want to dig it out again.

    Astra 600/43

My Nazi-marked 600/43 surprised me as a shooter. It handles like a brick, but shoots as well as any military 9mm except my Lugers. If you could combine Luger ergonomics with Astra accuracy, that would be a sweet shooter.

k98 noob wants to restore an Israeli (PIC HEAVY)

Pretty much any K98k stock set would be "correct" for an Israeli Mauser, since they used whatever was at hand. You might even check Gunbroker and eBay for an Israeli stock set.

    Official Vandalism Manual

Most of those Budda'd guns weren't "sportered" by vets who brought them home, They were whacked up by guys trying to turn a quick buck or build their own "deer rifle". I once got a bucket full of K98k parts (with some Jap, Swede, and other parts mixed in) from a basement gunsmith who made a...

I traded for this Mauser Standard Modell

The original rifle looks like a pretty good knockoff of a Standard Modell. I'd like to find a Chinese mauser with that gibberish inscription on the receiver. They amuse me.

Why my participation at Gunboards is now quite limited

Runaway Mods The main problem I have had on the other forum has been arbitrary and power-drunk mods. I have been suspended there twice by mods who sent me personal messages calling me names and insulting me after I had no way to defend myself or even respond. I don't know if these "men" are...

    King Tut's 98k pouches for $25

I wonder if anybody buys any of this dug-up junk at these prices?

I have a sling like that, and couldn't tell if it was German, postwar, from some other country, or what. No markings I can find.

    Highly Questionable HP

Those purple parts and the soft edges scream reblue to me. I have one pre-war HP that is badly pitted all over the outside (looks like wet holster syndrome), but has nice blue inside and a sharp bore. The grips were badly sanded, so I bought a pair of correct grips in the same beater condition...

    Highly Questionable HP

Sorry, I thought this forum allowed turd alerts. I didn't link anything, I just posted the auction number. I thought the members would like to see such an imaginitive description of a refinished, reblued, aftermarket grip pistol allegedly issued to the Waffen-SS

    Highly Questionable HP

I didn't want my first thread to be a turd alert, but you've got to see this: Gunbroker #329099613. This seller has more guts than a blind burglar.

Need advice on AX 41 K98k Mauser please

Acetone and paper towels will lift that shellac right off. You can get a million opinions on what to do next, but I wouldn't use anything but a few drops of hand-rubbed BLO. They're still making Colts, so don't worry about that!

BYF 45 kriegsmodell found on the rack

Actually, it's kind of bad luck, because you'll never find one that good again, and everything else will be a letdown. Just kidding, that's a score.
