I took a gamble on an M18 cutout helmet that was posted on ebay. Had a couple layers of postwar paint, no liner rusty and "looked" right. I noticed that the seller must have been asked to try and uncover the markings and looking at the pics realized he had removed the paint from the wrong side...

I don't have experience with the Warsend but I had Rob restore my semi sporterized G and it runs like a precision German clock. You shouldn't need 5 inserts, Rob will tune if and let you know what ammo he used. From a customer service and quality of work/materials I would go with Apfeltor.
